Smartt Skip Bin Perth

By hiring a skip bin from Smartt Skips, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to
the terms and conditions.

1. Services Provided

Provision of Skip Bin

Smartt Skips will provide a skip bin as requested by the Customer for the disposal of nonhazardous waste. Smartt Skips will arrange the delivery and collection of the skip bin at the
agreed dates and times. Hire period for all skip bins is 7 days (excluding account customers),
unless a prior agreement has been made.


Availability

Smartt Skips will make reasonable efforts to deliver and collect skip bins on time. However,
delivery and collection times may be subject to delays due to weather, traffic, or other
unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, Smartt Skips will notify the Customer of any
delays.

    2. Customer Responsibilities

    Acceptable Waste

    The Customer agrees to use the skip bin solely for the disposal of permissible waste. The
    following are prohibited from being placed in the skip bin:

    • Asbestos
    • Hazardous waste (e.g., chemicals, oils, solvents)
    • E-waste (e.g., computers, televisions)
    • Food waste
    • Tyres
    • Batteries
    • Medical waste
    • Liquid waste
    • Paint or other toxic substances

    Overloading

    The Customer agrees not to overfill the skip bin. The bin must be filled to the top rim only.
    Overloaded bins may not be collected and may incur additional charges.

    Proper Placement

    The Customer is responsible for ensuring the skip bin is placed in an accessible location. The
    Customer agrees to ensure there is enough space for the delivery vehicle to access and
    place the skip bin. Smartt Skips is not responsible for damage to the Customer’s property
    caused by the placement or removal of the skip bin.

    Legal Compliance

    The Customer is responsible for complying with all applicable local laws and regulations
    regarding waste disposal and the placement of the skip bin on public or private property.
    The Customer must obtain any necessary permits if the skip bin is to be placed on a public
    road or other public space.

    3. Delivery and Pickup

    Delivery

    The Customer must ensure that the location for skip bin delivery is clear and accessible.
    Smartt Skips will deliver the skip bin to the designated location on the agreed date. Smartt
    Skips is not responsible for any delays or damages caused by blocked or inaccessible delivery
    locations

    Pickup

    Smartt Skips will collect after 7 days of hire unless requested by customer for an earlier
    pickup. If the bin is blocked from being collected, additional charges may apply.
    If the Customer requires an extended hire period, they must inform Smartt Skips in advance.
    Extended hire may incur additional fees.

    4. Charges and Payment

    Pricing

    Prices for skip bin hire are based on the size of the bin and the duration of the hire. The
    Customer agrees to pay the amount quoted or agreed upon by Smartt Skips at the time of
    booking. Additional charges may apply for the following:

    • Overweight bins
    • Prohibited materials in the bin
    • Extended hire periods
    • Additional handling or disposal costs

    Payment Terms

    The Customer agrees to pay the full hire fee prior to or upon delivery, as per Smartt Skips’
    payment instructions. Payment methods accepted by Smartt Skips include credit card, debit
    card, and bank transfer. Any late payments may incur a late fee.

    Additional Charges

    The Customer acknowledges and agrees that any additional charges incurred due to
    excessive weight, hazardous waste, or extended hire will be billed separately. Failure to
    settle such charges may result in suspension of future services or legal action to recover the
    outstanding balance.

    5. Liability and Insurance

    Liability for Damage

    The Customer is responsible for any damage caused to the skip bin while it is in their
    possession. This includes damage due to overloading, the disposal of prohibited materials,
    or improper handling. The Customer agrees to pay for the repair or replacement of any
    damaged skip bins.

    Insurance

    Smartt Skips maintains insurance coverage for the skip bin while it is being delivered and
    collected. However, the Customer should ensure their property is protected against any
    potential damage from the bin being placed on their premises. Smartt Skips is not liable for
    any damage caused to the Customer’s property during the hire period.

    6. Cancellations

    Customer Cancellations

    The Customer may cancel their booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time
    without incurring any cancellation fees. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the
    scheduled delivery may incur a cancellation fee.

    Company Cancellations

    Smartt Skips reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the delivery of a skip bin due to
    unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather or mechanical issues. In the event of a
    cancellation by Smartt Skips, a full refund or a rescheduled delivery will be provided.

    7. Indemnity

    The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Smartt Skips, its employees, agents, and
    contractors harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from the use of the skip
    bin, including any damages to property or persons resulting from the Customer’s use of the
    skip bin or from waste disposed of in the skip bin.
